Misc. Notes
He enlisted from Stonington, Conn., serving as a sergeant in Capt. Roswell Smith’s Company, Col. Giles Russell’s regiment and participating in the battle of White Plains. June 3, 1819, at the age of seventy, he applied for a pension which was granted. His enlistment was in 1776 for one year. The pension papers give his wife’s age as 68 in 1820, which does not agree with the inscription on her gravestone. He brought with him a certificate of membership in the Socitey of Baptists dated June 6, 1774, and signed by Simeon Brown, Pastor.

March 7, 1777, he bought a farm in Willington, where the remainder of his life was spent.
