Like his father-in-law, John had at lease a temporary residence in London where, perhaps, he held a position under his father-in-law. His family may have remained in Presteign. His son George was the only on of the family who had his pedigree recorded in the Heralds Visitations. The other brothers, John, Thomas and James do not appear to have been interested in their pedigree and there is no further record of them in the Parish Registers of Presteign or London.
